The Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association, Inc. (A.O.B.A.) which is a great orginization for the alpaca industry. If you are interested in alpacas, I advise you to join A.O.B.A.. They help promote alpacas and their end products, regional-base affiliate organizations, fiber guilds, alpaca show ring competition and marketing. The main office is located in Nashville, Tennessee.
The alpacas are issued pedigree registrations by the Alpaca Registry, Inc. (A.R.I ) this certificate is a valuable document that traces the lineage of each alpaca, including colors, dates of birth, and DNA blood testing to ensure accuracy. The A.R.I. office is located in Lincoln, Nebraska. With the closure of the importation and the registry to imported alpacas, thus preserving the value of the animals in the United States.
